Dear Rotarian,

Last week's presentation by Past District Governor, Jim Roxlo was interesting and interactive as we learned how to approach peace and conflict prevention and resolution projects through the lens of the eight pillars of Positive Peace.  This week's program is our annual Valentine Day Program with our 'Not so Newlywed Game'.  Many thanks to our Club Service Committee for coordinating this event and thanks in advance to the fellow Rotarians and their spouses who are participating in the game.  Isn't it interesting that our Valentine event falls within our theme of Peace and Conflict Prevention and Resolution?  Hopefully the game will foster peace and not conflict!!

You may have received an email from Betsy regarding our March 10 Pastor Appreciation Event.  This is another great annual event for our club, and please respond to Betsy's email so her Vocational Services Committee can send out invitations to our local pastors.  This event WILL BE VIRTUAL; however, we are hoping that soon AFTER this event, we will be meeting in person and are monitoring things closely with recommendations from RI and our District Governor.

The District #6780 Golf Tournament is scheduled for May 7 and our club will be sending the WINNING team to the District Tournament - attached is a picture of last year's team and trophy.  Winning is also an annual tradition for our club.  Thank you to our amazing golfers who participate in the district tournament.

We had only 2 members (David Elliott and Stan Russell) during our second quarter who notified us that they found the 'clue' in our club bulletin so we are rewarding both with a RI item and will present to them when we are meeting in person.  Please remember to check if you are responsible for prayer and pledge and if you are unable to serve, please reach out to a fellow Rotarian.

The following is the Zoom meeting link for our club meeting.  If you have difficulties in accessing the online meeting, please contact Dale Rardin at 423-605-6790 (cell) and he will assist you.  Please note that a passcode is now required to access the zoom meeting for security purposes.

Volunteering to be part of our weekly rotation of being a Greeter or leading our club in Prayer and Pledge is a privilege and a responsibility.  If you have a Greeter or Prayer & Pledge assignment and are unable to serve, you are responsible for finding your replacement and notifying Chris Neighbors or President Beverlee Bartley of the change.  Thank you for your club service.
