Dear Rotarian,

I hope you were able to enjoy the beautiful spring weather over the weekend. It was really nice. Congratulations to the South Carolina Women's Team for their victory. Also, congrats to the Vols baseball team for sweeping Vandy over the weekend. The Vols are currently number one in the country! I know it's early in the season, but I'm enjoying it!

Last week we heard Mickey McCamish explain how he and his team have navigated through the challenges of the last two years to bring Riverbend back. Like so many things we often take for granted, this was no small feat. I hope all his hard work pays off and the festival is a huge success once again.

This week is our Pastor Appreciation celebration. These servants of God do not receive the thanks that they should. They have a tremendous responsibility to lead us spiritually and it places a great burden on them. I am so thankful that our club has a long tradition of honoring our pastors and I hope it will continue for many, many years. Alan Johnston will be our speaker and I'm sure he will offer some encouraging words to them as he explains "Why Jesus Would Have Been a Rotarian"!! Let's be sure to say "thank you" to all of our special guests.

A couple of reminders about this week's meeting:

1) There will be a meeting of the Golf Committee immediately following our regular club meeting. If you are a member of the committee or would like to learn more about how you can help with the tournament please plan to join.

2) In connection with the annual T-Cap testing, we will be collecting individual drinks (such as Capri Suns or juice boxes) and individual snack packets (such as Goldfish or Cheeze-Its) until April 13th. Cash donations will also be accepted so additional items can be purchased. Delivery will be made to Bess T Shepherd on April 14th, in time for the start of T-Cap testing on April 18th. Please bring your snacks/drinks this week or next.

I hope you can attend the meeting on Wednesday, but if you need to join by Zoom here is the meeting link. If you have difficulties in accessing the online meeting, please contact us by using the chat feature of Zoom.
