2019 Defiance Rotary Corvette Raffle tickets now availableTickets for the 29th Annual Defiance Rotary Foundation's Corvette Raffle are now available for sale. Someone will win a brand new 2019 Chevy Corvette or $45,000 in cash. Only 900 tickets will be sold and currently available at Estle Chevrolet-Cadillac, any Defiance Rotarian, or purchased online.
Drawing will be held Friday May 18, 2018 at 8:00pm at Estle Chevrolet-Cadillac.

Rotary donated more than $58,000 in 2011-12

Commitment to the community was evident at Monday’s Defiance Rotary meeting when donations of more than $58,000 for the club’s fiscal year 2011-12 year were awarded to Defiance and area organizations. The checks were presented by outgoing Rotary President Scott Stambaugh. Recipients and the amounts they received included: Defiance College, financial aid, $6,000 Defiance Public Library $5,000 YMCA Rotary Learn to Swim program, $4,800 DASH, $3,000 Imagination Library, $3,000 Backpack Buddies, $3,000 Rotary International Foundation, $2,875 Defiance Food pantries (St. Mary's Catholic, St. John's Lutheran, St. Paul's Methodist), $2,753 Defiance County Furniture Bank, $2,000 Defiance Elementary School, Storer Camp $1,750 DARE, $1,500 Defiance Leadership class, $1,500 Shots for Tots, $1,530 Black Swamp Area Council/Boy Scouts, $1,000 Defiance County mentoring program, $1,000 Defiance County Humane Society, $1,000 Defiance downtown decorating committee, $1,000 Downtown Development and Visitors Bureau, $1,000. MESA (Medical Equipment and Supplies Assistance), $1,000 Defiance Rotary Club Presidential Scholarship, $1,000 Northwest State Community College Scholarship, $1,000 Shelter Box, $1,000 Historic Homes of Defiance Clock Tower Project, $1,000 Dictionary project to three school districts, $556 Junior Achievement, $500 Defiance High School iPad donation, $500 Story book project, $500 Defiance Catholic Schools, educational trips, $550 Defiance High School DECA, $550 Defiance Baseball Association, $300 Defiance High School choral music programs, $200 Defiance Youth Football, $250 Northwest Ohio Jr. Golf Association awards for children, $250 War of 1812 conference, $150 Black Swamp Arts Council, $200 This is an increase in donations over past years including: $39,646, Fiscal Year 2010-11; $46,623, Fiscal Year 2009-10; and $41,818, Fiscal Year 2008-09. |
