One Truckee River

Alicia Reban is the Executive Director of Nevada Land Trust and connects ideas to strategy.  She spends her time getting to know regional and statewide leaders, cultivating new partners and donors for Nevada Land Trust (NLT), designing conservation solutions for complex protection projects, and educating the community about NLT and the importance of conservation.  Alicia co-leads the multi-jurisdictional, collaborative One Truckee River Initiative founded by NLT and KTMB.  Internally, Alicia works closely with the NLT staff and board to guide the execution of NLT’s mission, helping NLT become the first nationally-accredited land trust in Nevada in 2015.  As part of the founding team of Nevada Land Conservancy in 1998 (now Nevada Land Trust), Alicia has overseen the conservation of over 45,000 acres of land and associated water rights to protect wildlife habitat, recreational opportunities, vital historic sites, and working ranch lands across the state.

Christi Cakiroglu was hired as Executive Director of Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful (KTMB) in December 2002 due partly to her passion and belief in the power of volunteerism.  During her 15-year tenure KTMB has received national recognition by USA Today and nationally competitive awards from Keep America Beautiful.  Locally, KTMB has become a community-wide resource for all beautification related issues including litter reduction and recycling information.   From the Illegal Dumping Task Force to the One Truckee River Initiative, Christi’s leadership has expanded KTMB’s focus to include prevention-centered advocacy as well as beautification, cleanups and education.
