Holiday Food & Toy Drive
For several years, Rotarian Coral Byrd has been co-ordinating the collection of non-perishable food and gifts for community families in need, complementing the stellar work of Nourish Food Bank. in 2024, we recognized her community service by way of a Paul Harris Fellowship Award, since when she has become a club member.
Supported by funds from our Community Gaming Grant, we contribute by way of $1,000 of teen-appropriate gifts.

We buy according to what Coral tells us, since she knows the number and age of the teenaged children within her registered families.
This year, small electronics and bathroom gift packs was the priority.
Does it get any more "teenage boy" than Axe?!

InSong Quesnel Youth Choir
We have assisted InSong Youth Choir on various projects, and the Choir provides a massives community return on investment with their mutliple performances around town - Remembrance Day, Christmas concerts, and more, often in support of another cause eg the Food Bank.
The organization could cover all its operating costs by way of higher registration fees but that could well mean some of the voices would be silenced and what good dies that do? So when we were approached about helping with the cost of music binders, bags, and concert attire, we were happy to provide a grant of $1,400 to help meet that need.

Sheila Pritchard, Jasmin Scezny, Peggy Corbett, Linda Turner, Paul Mednis ("I'm hopeless at this stuff"), Pam Devereux, and Jan Digman. Simon Turner claims to have helped but all we saw was him taking pictures.

Lucy Turner, Bev’s granddaughter, spent a couple of hours working on box decorations...
