May 30, 2019 - David Geronazzo - Emergency Social Services Prince Rupert

David explained that their group provides temporary public aid for up to 72 hours of essentials like lodging or food service.  Most of the services provided in Prince Rupert are for individual emergencies like a residential fire.  They can be called upon to provide more extensive support for larger regional emergencies.  We should all be preparing ourselves for unexpected emergencies.  You can search online to find a Basic Preparedness Kit Supplies List.
ESS Prince Rupert is on the look-out for volunteers.  No experience is necessary and all training is provided.  Contact them at emergency.response@princerupert.ca  More information is available at www.gov.bc.ca/emergencysocialservices
