In 1997 Bob was promoted to Corporal and transferred back to Prince Rupert.  In 2001 he was promoted to Sergeant and then Staff Sergeant in 2003 when he was transferred to Prince George for a year.  In 2004 he was commissioned to Inspector and transferred to Vancouver.

Bob and his family were transferred back to Prince Rupert for the third time in January 2008 and he assumed the position of Officer-in-Charge of the detachment.  He is proud of the accomplishments that have been achieved since arriving back to the city, some of which are; an increase in detachment members, more municipal support staff, a return of the COP program, a return of the bike patrol, an increase in the number of auxiliaries, maintaining the DARE program in all elementary schools and having an officer working in the senior high school.

Bob’s last official day on the job was February 1, 2013 - he and his wife Bev plan to stay in Prince Rupert.
