The February 21, 2013 guest speaker was RCMP Corporal Anne House who spoke on the D.A.R.E. program that is taught to all grade five students.  The D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program, is an international education program that seeks to prevent use of controlled drugs (street drugs, prescription drugs and tobacco), membership in gangs, and violent behavior.  

Corporal House serves as the Drugs and Organized Crime Awareness coordinator for the North West District of B.C. including the communities of Atlin, Bella Bella, Dease Lake, Telegraph Creek, Kitimat, LISMS/Nass Valley, New Aiyansh, Masset, New Hazelton, Prince Rupert, Queen Charlotte City, Smithers, Stewart and Terrace.
