Our speaker, Janet Mackenzie is the Branch Manager for St. John Ambulance First Aid for both Prince Rupert and Terrace.  Janet gave us an interesting talk about the different services her office provides in communities and gave us a bit of a history lesson as well.  Apparently there was an active brigade in Prince Rupert dating from the 1970's with the driving force being Maureen Borsoi and her family.  Maureen now lives in the lower mainland, still works for St. John and is now in charge of over 20 offices in British Columbia.  From First Aid kits for people to pets, classroom and online training, St. John Ambulance First Aid has it all!
