| Dr. Lori Wick presented insightful information regarding animal overpopulation in Bell County. Dr. Wick has always had a passion for animals and, since her retirement from Pediatric Intensive Care at McLane Children's Hospital and Assistant Dean of Student Affairs at the Texas A&M College of Medicine, has given a great amount of her time volunteering for related causes. | | | The 6th Annual Field of Honor hosted by Rotary Club of Georgetown will be held November 5-12. Flags can be purchased for $45. The 9/11 Never Forget mobile exhibit will be onsite along with FDNY firefighters who will provide firsthand accounts of September 11, 2001. Flag purchases are open to anyone in our community who wishes to honor veterans, active or reserve duty military, first responders, K9 Units, and Equestrian heroes! Everyone is encouraged to attend this event. There will be multiple volunteer opportunities; the schedule should be posting shortly. |

What a fantastic group this morning – so many new faces! We had the pleasure of hearing from District Governor Shannon Coleman. She shared her vision for the #ImagineRotary year and how we each contribute to the overall success. Evan Hodson and John Johnson were recognized for their ongoing contributions to The Rotary Foundation. We also participated in a mini service project packing 200+ weekend food kits for children in our local communities who are impacted by food insecurity.

The 1st annual United Heroes Hoop Fest was a great success! Rotarian DeVonte Brown, owner of Variation of Control, coordinated this community event. Local law enforcement officers played alongside these talented young men and women. Rotarians participated in leadership conversations earlier in the day with the student athletes. Our own Bobby Whitson showed his skills in the 3-point shootout. Building community through relationships! We are proud to support young people in their pursuit of successful development!

Rotarians participated in Family Night at Harker Heights Elementary on March 25, 2022 to reveal the outcome of the DAP grant. HH Elementary children and staff were the recipients of our DAP grant which provided multiple interactive learning resources. It was very rewarding to see the children and parents excited for these additional learning tools!
