2016/02/26 EA/FK Knighting Ceremony - Tolerance

On February 26, 2016, Sir Keith of the Knights of the Guild honored 30 students at Giddings Elementary, and Vice Prinicipal Mitch Pope for exemplifying the trait of Tolerance.  In addition, staff member Joyce Gallier was knighted for the trait of Compassion.  The knighting ceremony is a part of the EarlyAct/FirstKnight (EA/FK) program at GES which is in its third year this year. EA/FK focuses on teaching the virtues embodied in the knightly code of chivalry to the students for 10 minutes each school day and putting those virtues into action. EA/FK is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Giddings at no cost to the school. Congratulations to the students and their families!
