Bryce Stiemert is the founder of the Georgetown Neighborhood Food Project, a grassroots initiative working to reduce food insecurity through simple, neighbor-to-neighbor action. Inspired by successful projects across the country and a belief in community-led solutions, Bryce helped launch the project after graduation from Southwestern University to support local food pantries. The project organizes bi-monthly neighborhood food drives that mobilize local volunteers to collect and distribute thousands of pounds of food to local pantries. Since its founding, the project has grown steadily through strong community partnerships and volunteer leadership, and, at its core, believes that when neighbors come together they can create a meaningful and sustainable impact.        

Imagine the impact we can make when Rotarians and community members unite for a single day of service! Rotary District 5870, representing 60 clubs across 23 counties in Central Texas and over 2,000 dedicated Rotarians, is thrilled to announce Service Texas Day—a day where we come together to do The Good We Do for our friends and neighbors.

Each club, along with their local communities, will design projects tailored to their unique needs. Rotarians will challenge each other to bring the largest number of participants, and we invite the general public to join us in making a difference!

A project sign-up page will go live later this year, featuring specific roles, needs, times, and locations. Rotarians and community members will work side by side to make Central Texas a better place for all.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP), the leading non-profit dedicated to providing beds for children in need, is ensuring thousands of children, no matter their circumstances, have safe and comfortable sleeping conditions.

Millions of children in the U.S. are sleeping on the floor, couches, or shared beds. Child bedlessness might not be a real word, but it’s a real problem. A good night’s sleep can improve a child’s:

The Engineering career cluster focuses on planning, designing, testing, building, and maintaining of machines, structures, materials, systems, and processes using empirical evidence and science, technology, and math principles. This career cluster includes occupations ranging from mechanical engineer and drafter to electrical engineer and to mapping technician.

Thomas Adkins has a BA in economics and history from The University of Virginia and his law degree from the University of Texas. He practiced with the 400-lawyer Houston-based law firm Bracewell LLP for 38 years as a business transactions lawyer, where he served as head of he firm's corporate and securities practice. He is Chairman of the NRO's Antifraud Group in Sun City and leads an anti-fraud group for the SC Computer Club.

The two buildings that now house the Wildfire Restaurant were originally constructed circa 1920 on the site where the City Hotel stood in the late 1890s. Their history is as varied as the history of American business itself. Over the past 80-plus years, these walls have housed a clothing store, a Piggly Wiggly Grocery, Peasley’s Meat Market, Lawhon & Anderson Air Conditioning and Electrical, a Sears and Roebuck Catalog Store and then business offices. More recently, it was a ladies apparel and gift shop until the current owner, Bill Cox, opened the Wildfire Restaurant with his sister. Subsequently, they also opened the Lockett Banquet Facility in the nearby M. B. Lockett Building that was constructed circa 1890. Both locations offer private dining room accommodations for groups, while the Wildfire is a regular walk-in restaurant.

The Georgetown Main Street Program works to enhance downtown vibrancy and historic preservation by implementing guidelines set forth by the National Main Street Center’s Four Point Approach, a national revitalization movement currently in place in more than 2,000 communities across the country. The Georgetown Main Street Program is part of the Texas Historical Commission’s Texas Main Street Program. Georgetown became an official Texas Main Street City in 1982 and is one of the oldest programs in the state. For additional information, you may also visit the Georgetown Planning & Development department.

Our Club will serve lunch at RYLA Camp on ??????, ???? ?, 2026 at Twin Lakes Family YMCA in Cedar Park. Our Club will sponsor four campers this year. This is a great Rotary Service Project and provides an excellent chance to participate in one of our Club's many activities that support the youth in our community and area.

VERY IMPORTANT:  All volunteers MUST complete the 2026 Volunteer Form, background check and online training course.  A link to the registration forms is available online on our RYLA site page (or, just click HERE to go to the District 5870 RYLA page to get started).

Remember, the "background check" form must be processed by District 5870 before you can volunteer (which means no last-minute signups).  Submit the form NOW if you are considering participation.  You can always cancel at the the last minute, if necessary, but you can't participate without the required paperwork.

Trudy lives in Uganda six months each year where Rotary has provided 46 school libraries and has sponsored 65 students at schools - with 7 college graduates. In Kenya, Rotary has 7 additional libraries and 13 sponsored students.

Founded in 1975 as a not-for-profit corporation, TOSA covers 56 counties in Central and South Texas. TOSA is committed to providing organ donation and recovery services to families wishing to donate, and to those waiting for a life-saving organ transplant.

My name is Martin Byhower, and I split my time between enjoying and exploring the natural environment while doing what I can, both professionally and personally, to preserve and protect all things wild. I'm a native Californian, where I taught science, restored habitats, worked as an advocate for wildlife, and guided small and large birding groups for decades before my passion for nature brought me to the incredibly rich and diverse central Texas bioregion. When not out birding and "botanizing", I spend as much time as possible sharing my passions with YOU, helping you create a wildlife friendly garden, helping you find the remarkable avian fauna in this region, or giving presentations to your group, club, or organization. When not doing the preceding, I enjoy chilling with my lovely wife and our dog and cat and exploring the rich music, dining, museums, parks, and entertainment in Austin and Georgetown TX.

Dr. Andrew Edmonds attended Western University of Health Sciences School of Dentistry and has been practicing dental sleep medicine since 2016 at Sleep Better Austin. He brings with him valuable experience and insight for making a visit to Sleep Better Austin a great experience! He especially enjoys giving people a better and healthier life by providing them with techniques and treatments to improve their sleep at night. He is committed to staying current with research, techniques and advancements in the sleep dental field so that he can better help and educate patients to make the best decisions for their health. Dr. Edmonds office is located at the Northeast corner of Shell Road and Williams Drive at 4405 Dental Studio.

Grahame Jones is a retired Director of Law Enforcement, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Grahame has fished the lakes, rivers, and bays of Texas and Mexico for nearly 50 years. He’s fished in 16 US states, 4 countries, and 4 states in Mexico. Grahame is a past State Board Member for the Costal Conservation Association, past State Chair for Texas Backcountry Hunters and Anglers, and received the 2020 Sam Beasom Conservation Leader Award from the Texas Wildlife Association. On October 5, 2022, Grahame was appointed to serve a four-year term to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s Coastal Resources Advisory Committee, and on July 19, 2024, he was appointed to a two-year term to the TPWD Oyster Advisory Commitee and currently serves as Chair. Grahame is a member of Austin Fly Fishers and Fly Fishers International. Grahame offers guided fishing trips on many lakes located within the beautiful Texas Hill Country including Lake Travis, Lake Austin, Lake Buchanan, Lake Bastrop, Decker Lake, and Lake LBJ. Grahame doesn’t focus or depend on fish finding electronics. Instead, he focuses on wind, time of day, water and air temperature, water depth, observation of birds and bait, habitat and structure… and 50 years of fishing experience … trial, error, and success.
