Why did you join Rotary? Who Introduced you? My 2 mentors in my life had both been Rotarians, 10 years ago I met John Kason and he brought me into the club.
What is your favorite part of Rotary? Hard question to answer, there’s a few: First has to be the people who join Rotary, they have a desire to make a difference in the community and around the world. Next would be getting involved, finding a role within the club and rolling up my sleeves. Then it’s going to Westwood Elementary on the Thursday mornings when I volunteer, for me there’s nothing more satisfying as those faces enjoying breakfast with their friends before class.
What is your main role in the Rotary Club? This last year I’ve had the honor of being The Club’s President. Our Club has been around since 1942 and that list is full of amazing leaders. It’s amazing that my name will go on that list.
What do you do outside of Rotary? I’m a partner to my wife Barbara and a mortgage broker. One of my biggest passions outside of Rotary is fly fishing the lakes, streams and rivers of British Columbia.
Why should others join Rotary? To give back: I earn my living in this city and I love Prince George. I believe I owe a debt to the community and by being a member of The Rotary Club of Prince George I’m paying that debt every time I get involved with the club.
