Why did you join Rotary?
" I had always admired Rotary and coming to a new city I thought it would be a great way to give back. My sister actually did a Rotary exchange as a young woman so I was familiar with the program."

What is your favorite part of Rotary?
" I enjoy the table talk, being at meetings, the presentations, the service projects and of course the connection with fellow Rotarians"

What is your main role in the Rotary Club?
"I am the AV guy, I help get all the technology ready for all of the meetings and events. I also help with the special events and other volunteering opportunities."

What do you do outside of Rotary?
" I am director on the board of Denomination (which does International projects), I work closely with the IMSS refugee program, I sponsor refugees with the First Baptist Church, and advocate for LGBT. I like to think of myself as an "amateur handyman" I love helping people in need with house repairs and small house projects. One of my favorite things I do is the Sparki Program. The program introduces youth to robotics.  I come from an engineering background and I'm currently taking more courses about code wiring and robotics to continue to learn more and pass it to the next generation"

Why should others join Rotary?
"For service, for community. It is a great way to give back to the community we live in."
