After 11 weeks of hard work of our members and our student Kirstin selling tickets at Pine Centre Mall and Canadian Tire and culminating with the final draw at Exploration Place on Fathers Day at 3:04 PM, Sunday June 17th, we have a winner. His name is Stephen Bates from Prince George.

We managed to have to the best of anyones knowledge, the most successful raffle in the clubs 70 year history netting a whopping $30,000 for youth programs in and around Prince George.

My sincere thanks goes out to all the Rotarians & family members who helped in various ways. I would like to acknowledge a few individuals who were on my committee and who were there for me just about every time I called on them. My boat mover Harold Hartshorne, my treasurer Cindy Thomson, my personelle manager Ross Birchall, my sign, poster and find and get anything I need guy Norm Gregson, My ticket guy Norm Schmitz and club treasurer Sheila Nelson who kept the bills paid quickly and who reconciled all the credit receipts, etc.

A special acknowledgement to Lorne Calder and Sue Calder for selling 12 books of tickets (almost as many as me). To our Fort St. James members who sold 11 books for us.

And to the officers and directors who let me run with this thing without holding me down too much.

Great Rotary Spirit by most of our members, hats off to you, you are what makes Rotary successful in so many projects!
