Club Selected for Pilot Project on Satellite Clubs

 The Rotary Club of Prince George was one of 200 clubs selected to pilot new Membership like models for Rotary international.  Four different membership models are being offered and 50 clubs have been selected for each of the 4 different pilot projects.  Our club was selected to Pilot Satellite Clubs.  We were selected out of 1,300 Rotary Clubs around the world who had applied to be a part of the pilot projects.

We are currently working with Fort St. James and hopefully Vanderhoof soon to re-start Rotary Clubs in this area/region.  As they had dissolved their Charters, they must now have a minimum of 25 Rotarians to apply for a Rotary Charter. The Satellite club approach may be the necessary model to give Fort St. James and Vanderhoof the time necessary to increase their memberships and increase their leadership skills to meet the challenges of running a Rotary Club today.
