2013 Film Festival

Membership director Joyce Carlson represented our club at the Adventures in Film lunch on February 24 with three of the two dozen participants. From the left are Shanne Nahus, InterAct president in his school, who was sponsored by The Rotary Club of Richmond Sunrise; Jackson Stirling, sponsored by The Rotary Club of Campbell River (Noon); and Carlton Paniccia, sponsored by The Rotary Club of Burnaby.

The Rotary Club of Powell River provided seed money to get the program going six years ago and still provides some sponsorship to assist emerging filmmakers, including buying them lunch at The Hub. After lunch, the films made by the students were shown at Patricia Theatre on the last day of Powell River Film Festival.
