Spring Fling - Ron announced on the success of the past weekend’s Spring Fling fundraiser with 160 in attendance, great music by redline  and raising an all time high of $10,000 for kidsports. His son Kyle did an awesome job as MC.  Ron thanked all members who helped in any way especially Alana for all the financially related activities, Kathy preparing the candy bags with Bob also helping her sell them.

Pot of Gold Golf Tournament - Rick is looking for golfers and sponsors. Share this with your personal contacts and ask him for registration and sponsorship forms.  Thank you Ken for printing services.
 
Polio walk - Andrew reminded everyone of the walk on Sat May 14 - lots of fun with surprise entertainers, Ukulele band, Salvation army water trucks etc

2017 Rotary Peace Fellowship - Exciting ...Gloria reported that the past weekend the district has endorsed 2 outstanding candidates who will now be moving forward to the 3rd level of review to compete for 50 available spots worldwide in the Professional certificate program in Thailand.

Installation Dinner - Susan reminded everyone to sign up for June 10th. 
Monica announced that the organizing meeting will be after next week’s Rotary meeting on May 18th.

The Rotary Foundation - Monica reminded those who have not donated as yet this year, to do so before June 16th.  50% of our donations return to the district to be used for clubs to apply for district grants. While $100USD is desired for our club to be an EREY club,(Every Rotarian Every Year). Not every one can do so, and even $20CDN is appreciated.  Everyone participating makes a difference.

Rotary World Help Network(RWHN) - Paul was happy to report that at a RWHN board meeting 1/2 of the 12 clubs in attendance accepted his previous challenge to match our club’s $500 donation. One of them donated $2,000 to support the containers of supplies shipped regularly to the 3rd world countries
 
Birthday - Alana’s May 14th.  President Gordon thanked Alana for the hard work she did to make the Spring Fling happen and we sang Happy Birthday to her.
