Rotary Peace Fellowship

Building a More Peaceful World, One Leader at a Time

Since 2002, the Rotary Peace Fellowship has funded over 1,800 peacebuilders from around the world. Each year, Rotary awards up to 170 fully funded fellowships — covering tuition, room and board, travel, and field study — at one of eight partner Peace Centers worldwide.

 

Two Programs

**Master's Degree** — For early-career professionals with at least 3 years of relevant experience. The 15–24 month program includes academic training and a self-designed field study.

**Professional Development Certificate** — For mid-career practitioners with 5+ years of experience. This one-year blended program combines online learning, on-site coursework, and a nine-month social change initiative.

 

Partner Universities

Master's programs are hosted at Duke/UNC Chapel Hill (USA), International Christian University (Japan), University of Bradford (UK), University of Queensland (Australia), and Uppsala University (Sweden). Certificate programs are offered at Makerere University (Uganda) and Bahçeşehir University (Türkiye). A new Asia-focused center at Symbiosis International University in Pune, India opens in 2027.

 

How to Apply

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree, be proficient in English, and demonstrate a commitment to peacebuilding. Active Rotary members and employees are not eligible. Watch the Rotary website for the next application cycle.
