First Annual Walk to End Polio a Success

What a good turn-out, the weather cooperated and it was cold but dry and everyone was in high spirits as we gathered together for our very first `Walk to End Polio Now`on Saturday, March the 1st.

Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors from Burnaby and New Westminster and members of the community came out and walked from Burnaby Metrotown to New Westminster City Hall. We were joined by the Mayor of Burnaby, Derek Corrigan, MLA Cathy Corrigan, MLA Raj Chouhan at the starting line and followed by the Mayor of New Westminster, Wayne Wright who joined us in at the finished line.

Rotarians from outside of Burnaby and New Westminster were also on hand to lend their support to this successful event.

A big thank you to all who came out to participate, and hope to see everyone again next year!
