Mary Kessens, CEO and President of APTIV and past District 6250 Governor shared details of the Miss RemarkAble Pageant that we are sponsoring in Janesville  on 11.17. The pageant began in LaCrosse 4 years ago. Mary is a 'reformed' pageant resister and described how transformational the experience was for everyone involved the first year it was held. "Miracles happened". The pageant allows females age 13 and up the opportunity to build confidence, self esteem, and have an enriching & empowering opportunity to shine in a pageant experience. The event includes training and beautification sessions in the morning, preparation for the speaking portion, and sharing their personal RemarkAble Me videos which are about their accomplishments and goals. Mary shared videos of past participants and how impactful the Pageant was on their lives. She thanked our Club for coming on board as a major Sponsor- with the matching District Grant, they can offer this in Janesville for the first time.
APTIV's mission is: For our communities to welcome, encourage, and value the contributions of all individuals. Established in LaCrosse in 1997, it provides a spectrum of innovation supports to 1300 individual families in 8 service locations.
