- Happy birthday to Cassie today! - We heard from our Milton SOM today, Chayton Jensen and Mollie Meyers, and Craig student Reed Kelly. - Paul modeled the Purple Give Polio the Finger shirts we have been given to sell to raise money for RI's Polio Plus , along with a heavyweight hooded sweatshirt- picture below. Please bring cash or check to purchase next Monday- T's are $10, and Hoodies are $20. We have a limited number of sizes and would like to see them all sold so we can give the funds raised to RI. - Beloit Rotarian Jim Van de Bogart is leaving next week to ride 1250 miles from Santa Monica Pier on old Route 66 all the way to Amarillo TX to raise money for Polio Plus. Last year he raised $55 K and his goal this year is $66 K. His Club is having a month long Ride to End Polio fundraiser and collecting 'pledges' starting at $.01 a mile up to $1.00 a mile. All funds raised will be tripled thanks to the 2 X match by the Gates Foundation. Donated is easy via the link here: https://rotarybeloit.org/bikeride/.
