Bill Boyd moderated questions for the 2 candidates running for Sheriff, Troy Knudson and Jude Maurer. The questions concerned merging the SWAT teams of Janesville, Beloit and Sheriff's department, how they would handle the arrests of an undocumented person, their opinion on the controversy (?) over K9 handlers taking home department cars, the factors influencing our crime rate (Addiction, homelessness, mental illness, employment), and why you? Both men are highly qualified, and as one Rotarian sitting next to me commented, "They agree on just about everything!" Please use their campaign educational platforms to learn more about each candidate so you can make an informed decision on election day!
