Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue (CKFR) Chief Scott Weninger gave an update on the 2018 levy and what it will do for the county, and what they used the last levy for (staffing, vehicles, and equipment).  Click on to watch his presentation on Facebook Live, which starts at about 21 minutes 30 seconds.
In November, Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue (CKFR) voters will be asked to restore the Regular Fire Levy to the $1.50 per $1,000 of assessed valuation (AV). This tax will replace the Maintenance & Operations Levy (M&O) that was passed in 2015. is a link to the Restoration of CKFR’s Regular Fire Levy Lid Lift fact sheet.
Chief Weninger also reminded us to check our smoke alarm batteries (are they 1-year or 10-year?) and get Carbon Monoxide detectors if you have natural gas or propane.
