Virtual Happy Bucks - Text Rotary Cares to 44321!  For all these weeks we have be sharing Zoom Happy Bucks, and now you can put your money where your happiness is - just text 44321 and put in the message Rotary Cares.  You will be taken to a secure site where you can donate via a bank account (saves our Club most processing fees) or credit card.  
 
Turkey Trot 2020.  David Jordan announced that he is looking at different ideas for venues and ways to hold this fund raiser.  Want to participate in this effort?  Contact David at david.jordan@thrivent.com.
 
Fund Raising Committee.  President Steve announced that Scott Shoemaker is heading up a committee to explore ideas for fund raising in the current climate.  Please contact Scott at scottshoemaker@rsulaw.com to join this very important committee.
 
Networking and Partnering in the COVID-19 Environment.  President Steve suggested that we should work on networking and partnering with other organizations to "get eyes on" Rotary and our Club. 
 
 
Wildfire Preparation and Mitigation. 
Chief John Oliver announced that CKFR will hold an online Wildfire Community Meeting on August 12, 2020 at 6:00 PM.  Online meeting details coming soon.  In the meantime, go to https://www.ckfr.org/wildfire-preparation/ for tips and resource links.

President Steve is working on collaborating with area Rotary Clubs and other county organizations to solicit donations.
 
Text 44321 to Donate.  What if someone asks "what can I do?"  President Steve reminded us to spread the word about texting Rotary Cares to 44321 to donate to Silverdale Rotary Club.  It sends you to a secure donation link.
 
Kitsap Regional Library - Branch Manager Ashley Oaksmith reminded everyone that the online resources at https://www.krl.org/ are more extensive than they have ever been.

Northwest Bloodworks is short of blood and plasma!  Our President Steven Boe has spearheaded this area blood drive, coordinating with other county Rotary Clubs and other organizations.  If you give blood, please post a photo on the Silverdale Rotary Facebook page - you may win a prize donated by local businesses!
