Thursday, January 14 - voting for 2021-22 Board of Directors at regular Zoom meeting

Election of 2021-22 Board of Directors
  • At the December 10 Zoom meeting, the Chair of the 2021-22 Nominating Committee Christie Scheffer  announced the Committee’s recommendations for the 2021-22 Board slate of officers.  She also called for nominations from the floor (there were none).

  • Nominations “from the floor” closed on December 30 .
  • The Annual Meeting and election will be held at the January 14 Zoom meeting.

  • Because of special circumstances due to our meeting situation, we are using a modified voting process.  Members that are not able to attend the Zoom Annual Meeting can submit their ballot by email to the Club Secretary Don Lachata no later than January 13. He will compile and add to the online Zoom voting on January 14. The email should state that you agree, don’t agree, or agree with exceptions to the announced slate of officers.

Let's Share with Our Rotary Family #2
On January 3, Barbara sent an e-mail to club members inviting everyone to share a snippet of their lives in the Breeze.  Here are two responses:

From Cathy Bisaillon - New Puppy!
We adopted Benny (Benny Goodman Bisaillon when he is in trouble) on December 21 from a pet rescue operation out of Houston, TX.  We were searching for a friend for Rico, our ten year old Beagle/Spaniel, since we had to euthanize our 15 year old black lab a few months ago.
Pictured above: Rico and Benny

Benny is 10 pounds of nonstop puppy energy, and we love him. Even Rico has stopped being grumpy and now initiates noisy play sessions throughout the house. We just submitted Benny’s DNA to learn of his primary breed mix... any guesses?  Readers?

From Peggy and Ron Templeton - winter hideaway on Lake Chelan

To share in the Breeze, please send Barbara a photo or two and a very brief description to twobees2@earthlink.net.  It doesn't have to be momentous, just something about you, your family, your pets - you get the idea.  Sending a photo(s) isn't mandatory, but it's much more interesting if you do!

Barbara publishes the Breeze on Monday nights. We would especially love to hear from you if we haven't seen you on Zoom lately.

Virtual Ace of Spades
Watch this space - President Steve found a way to do virtual Ace of Spades!  Text ACEOFSPADES to 44321 to buy tickets @ $1 each.  Details are still being worked out.

Virtual Bingo on January 7 at Rotary!
BINGO!

As the tension mounted and the cards filled up, you could hear a virtual pin drop as the virtual caller announced O-72, B-10, etc.  At stake were four amazing prizes collected up by co-President Elect Jennifer Strong.  President Steve had sent us all two different cards to print and play at the club meeting on January 7.

Who won the four games?  Christie Scheffer and Heather Campagna.  That's right, they both were double winners!  But, "building goodwill and better friendship," they both gave up their 2nd prizes which let Jim Barker and Mary Hoover win.

Thanks, President Steve, for using your online skills to provide us with a fun interlude!

We Need Your Program Ideas
Your help is needed to keep our Rotary meetings interesting and relevant!  Please send your program ideas and POC leads to Club Service co-Chairs Erin Shannon at erin.shannon@fsbwa.com and Jennifer Strong at jennifer.strong@fsbwa.com.  Thanks!
