On May 18, Silverdale Rotarians enthusiastically honored the five Students of the Month pictured above from three local high schools.

The students were first introduced by staff members of their respective schools.  Katie Staker (above on right) who is the Activities Coordinator for CKHS, is telling us about Kaleb Foss' and Katelyn Downey's achievements that led these awards.  Below on right we heard from Ken Ebersole, Principal of the Crosspoint Secondary School, talking about Xin He.  This isn't the first time we have seen Xin at a Club meeting - last year Xin won the 2016 Silverdale Rotary Duck T-Shirt Design Contest!

Then the came the best part - we heard from the students themselves - their academic and outside activities, their families, and their future aspirations.  On right below, Alicia Flint from Klahowya is addressing the crowd of Rotarians and guests while student Jacob Sargent and Shannon Steedman, who teaches Family and Consumer Science, look on.

All the students thanked Rotarians for honoring them, but it is actually we who thank them for being our future leaders!
