On October 13, Silverdale Rotarians kicked off the 2016-17 school year by recognizing five amazing young men and women from three local high schools as Students of the Month.  Chosen by the faculty and staff of each school, students are recognized not only for academic achievements, but also for leadership and service.  Some examples: Suicide and Bullying Prevention, Associated Student Body officers, Seahawks Student Athlete of the Month, humanitarian trips, and various sports team captains.

Students received a plaque and a letter from Silverdale Rotary to their parents.  Sadly, no limousine rides to lunch this year, as the limo company went out of business.  Congratulations to the students pictured below, left to right:
Margaret (Maggie) Wright (Crosspoint Academy); Kellen Leavell and Anna Ward (Central Kitsap High School); Natalie Haws and Dylan Zuber (Klahowya Secondary School)
