President Elect Christie Scheffer recognized three Rotarians of the Month for their hard work and contributions to the Club.

October - Mary Hoover – Past President Mary (pictured on left with Christie on right) has been a member since 2004. She was awarded the Rotarian of the month for October for her ongoing, positive, friendly service and willingness to pitch in on any project. Whenever there is a task to do, Mary shows up and is willing to take on any aspect. She is calm, supportive and offers good advice and perspective from her years of involvement.  She is steadfast, persevering and fun! Mary, for a number of years, has arrived early to set up the meeting and then served as the Registration Table/Greeter. She offers a warm, welcoming  greeting to members and visitors alike. Thank you Mary for all you do!!

November - David Jordan - David Jordan volunteered to coordinate the 2018 Turkey Trot and worked very hard to increase enrollment and participation. The Turkey Trot was a successful event, offering us an opportunity to engage with our community together in making a difference. We were able to raise additional funds to feed children in Kitsap County! We have already been told folks are excited about coming again next year and will bring their families and friends! Thank you David for all you do!

December - Steven Boe – Steven Boe has been a member for 2.5 years. During that time he has worked to develop a positive, outward facing profile for the Rotary Club of Silverdale. He has developed videos, manages our Facebook Profile, set up our Club meetings to be viewed live on Facebook and many other forms of Public Information. He is currently our Public Information Chair and whether its online meetings, videos advertising upcoming events or fund raisers or advertisement spots he has created it with a touch of magic excellence, professionalism and positivity. For the past two years he has coordinated the Christmas Wreath fund raiser in an effort to raise additional funds to feed kids in Kitsap County. Thank you Steve for all you do!
