Today we recognize Barbara Beagle as Rotarian of the Month for January 2019.

Barbara is being honored for her outstanding continued work on developing and posting the Breeze each week, which keeps us all informed of our Club’s activities.

Barbara is one of the first people I met at Rotary and immediately took me under her wing, introducing me to other Rotarians, becoming my mentor and helping me navigate my way to understanding Rotary more deeply as well as the nuts and bolts of working in a Club. She is very committed to the development of new Rotarians and applies this same commitment to everything she does.

I cannot tell you how many times we are working on a project and Barbara comes behind and offers solutions, know-how, historical perspective and help. She is instrumental in the success of the Duck Race and has provided a safety net for us on so many projects and occasions.

We are very lucky in this Club to have long-term members like Barbara, with in-depth knowledge, who are just as committed as the day they joined, along with our new, energetic, awesome members! Together we make a great team and Club!

Thank you Barbara for all you do! You display the true heart of a Rotarian!

Editor’s note: Barbara accepted this recognition in Tucson, AZ via Skype, with PDG Brian Beagle sharing the moment.
