Silverdale Rotarians, their family members, and community volunteers were out in force at Silverdale Safeway on December 4, ringing the bells for the Salvation Army at both doors. Our kettle stands sported beautiful new signs designed by Rotarian Steven Boe.

This is an annual tradition for our Rotary Club, and we were gratified at the generosity of Safeway customers who stuffed the kettles.
We had help from the Miss Poulsbo™ Miss Kitsap™ Miss Silverdale™ Scholarship Organization.  Thanks, ladies!

Service Above Self story from Christie Scheffer whose granddaughter Reyce (pictured on right with Christie) was ringing with her: “When I arrived to bell ring with my granddaughter, she didn’t feel comfortable ringing alone.  So Corey Hamilton (son of Rotarian Ed Hamilton) offered to stay another hour so she could ring with me.  Isn’t that awesome?”
