On Thanksgiving Day, Silverdale Rotary proved once again how important community is in Kitsap County.
Our first-ever Turkey Trot walk/run brought in more than 300 locals! All proceeds will be donated back to the community.

Silverdale Rotary's first-ever Turkey Trot on Nov. 24 was an absolute success!

Despite whipping wind and rain with temperatures in the mid-40s, Silverdale Rotarians welcomed more than 300 registrants to the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day. A total of 98 new runners/walkers registered on the very day of the event.

Thank you to everyone who worked so incredibly hard to make this event happen! Special thanks to Greg Chapman who coordinated and kept us all on track. His experience with Whaling Days runs made him a valuable part of the team. Kim Peterson, Turkey Trot head chairperson, thank you for spending countless hours keeping all Rotarians informed by scheduling meetings and coordinating on several fronts. Rick Soper, thank you for the enthusiastic and professional video and YouTube ads! Ed Hamilton, we appreciate you updating the website repeatedly and creating an easy way for runners to register.

A big thank you to all who came out and braved the weather! Without you, we would not have been able to greet the community and raise funds to give back. We appreciate you!
