On April 13, Sonia Ramirez, President of the Rotary Club Villa Real de Tegucigalpa in Honduras, visited our Club to thank us for our support in building the medical clinic to help impoverished Hondurans.  In our largest hands-on international project ever, using $7,640 from Duck Race proceeds and a $3,500 District 5020 Rotary Foundation grant, Silverdale Rotarians and family members spent a week in Honduras in early 2017 helping build the clinic.
Here are President Sonia's remarks: "It was a great visit to Silverdale Rotary Club - thank you for always welcoming me to your Club. On behalf of Club Rotario Villa Real de Tegucigalpa  we presented a Certificate of Recognition for all your contributions, timeless service and dedication to the project at Nerza Paz Clinic in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

THANK YOU also to Mike and Janele Hancock for having me over - it was such a pleasure to stay in their beautiful home. Thanks you were great. The magic of Rotary brings you home whenever you go to any Rotary Club or Rotarian family."
