Silverdale Rotarians & Guests enjoyed a festive annual Holiday Party on 7 December at Kitsap Golf and Country Club.  Thanks to our beautiful and gracious organizers and co-hosts Mary Hoover and Peggy Templeton (pictured above).

Social hour started at 5:30 and dinner at 6:30.  After feasting on Prime Rib or Chicken Cordon Bleu, the entire group joined in singing happy birthday to Ata Celik (on right), our Rotary Exchange Student from Turkey, before he devoured his delicious birthday cupcake.

Next, we all learned a little about new member David Jordan (above with President Kim Peterson) as he impressed us all with his classification talk and new mustache, and earned his Rotary "blue badge".

The evening ended with a hilarious wrapped "white elephant" gift exchange.   Ata emceed  the exchange at his first Christmas Party ever!  On right above is Erin Leedham opening her mystery gift.
Above Erin proudly displays her gift.....a wine glass big enough to hold an entire bottle of wine.  How thoughtful!  Below Natalie Bryson carefully surveys available prospects before selecting her "white elephant" gift.

Below Rick Soper looks excited about his white elephant gift...a white cow.  He will never have to sleep alone again!

Below, Nancy Whitaker, Ed Hamilton, Sarah Dawson (Pete's Daughter), Elayne Burton, and Heather Campana enjoy the gift trading and stealing.  Nice Pink Purse!

The Holiday Party was a great success!  For more photos, go to our Photo Album at https://portal.clubrunner.ca/730/PhotoAlbums/silverdale-rotary-christmas-party-2017.
