On September 28, Silverdale Rotary awarded a $1,000  Duck Bucks grant to EBC West Sound to purchase supplies for vulnerable newborns in at risk families.  Below is an image representative of the kinds of items provided by Eastside Baby Corner and its chapters: diapers, formula,  cribs, car seats, and more.
Bob Maynard, co-founder of the West Sound Chapter of Eastside Baby Corner, and Ashley Hutchison were on hand to describe their operation.

Taking orders from local social service agencies who identify the babies in need, EBC West Sound fills those orders from their warehouse in East Bremerton.  Items like cribs and car seats are often donated, but are certified to meet strict current safety standards before redistribution.  For more information, go to http://babycorner.org/ebc-west-sound/ .

This is the second year that Silverdale Rotary has supported EBC West Sound.  This year’s Duck Bucks grant is from the proceeds of our 2017 Silverdale Rotary Duck Race, made possible by our generous sponsors and the Community members who purchased Duck Tickets.
