What could be better than spending June 21, the longest day of the year, experiencing live music everywhere in Kitsap County for free? The West Sound Art and Music Association (WSAMA) is making this happen by adding our area to the list of more than 800 cities worldwide hosting Make Music Day on June 21.

Jill Hudson-Giddings (President, WSAMA) and Jim Goettler (Director, Make Music Day – Kitsap) informed us that there will be concerts on streets, sidewalks, parks – pretty much anywhere musicians of all types can set up and play. Corporate partners will give away harmonicas and songbooks, all in the spirit of spreading the love of making music.

The Rotary Club of Silverdale is proud to help WSAMA make the first annual Kitsap event a success by granting $500 to help with publicity and outreach. People with info on possible venues to host the casual concerts can learn more at   http://www.makemusicday.org/kitsap/.
