Message from President Robin Ford

The Rotary Club of Barbados continues to adapt to the ever-changing environment.  We are continuously reviewing our plans to create opportunities for membership engagement and to raise funds to support our community outreach programs and projects.

In this regard, the current President- Robin Ford decided to explore the possibility of attracting international and renowned Speakers to share with members and the public on various topics including Mental Health, Digital Technology, Strategic Thinking, Extreme Leadership, Peace and Climate Change.  Accordingly, the club will proceed with an ‘Evening Lecture Series’ in the form of a webinar with three lectures this year and an additional three during the first half of 2022.

We encourage everyone to join us for all our entertaining and informative lecture events.  Funds raised will be used to support our Youth at Risk Program, purchase supplies for our local Hospital to assist with fighting Covid19 disease, and to assist with repairs to our Schoolhouse for Special Needs.

One of Rotary’s area of focus is Disease Prevention and Treatment, and, in this regard, we are taking action in response to the pandemic as our club supports COVID-19 vaccination and continued prevention efforts around the world. Rotary has decades of experience in fighting polio globally and remains dedicated to eradicating this disease. It is with this experience that we will continue to assist in whatever way possible to fight this pandemic.

Thank you for your continued support.
