Please join us in congratulating our outgoing executive board under the direction of 2019-2020 President Heidi Gross. Heidi was presented with the Walter D. Head Foundation Award yesterday evening. This award honors individuals who have performed outstanding service and upheld the ideals of Rotary. Under Heidi’s leadership, the ASRR has more than doubled its membership and has contributed to a multitude of charitable outreaches, both domestically and internationally. Thank you to Heidi and the entire outgoing board for your leadership of the Allendale/Saddle River Rotary!

July 1st marks the new Rotary International calendar year! Please join us in welcoming our 2020-2021 Executive Board on their first official day of the job. The “ASRR” looks forward to continuing our goodwill and charitable outreaches under this team's leadership.

We’d like to thank and honor our outgoing Executive Board for their service to the Allendale/Saddle River Rotary (ASRR) and our local communities. May you continue to do great work and exemplify the Rotary International motto “service above self!”
On behalf of the Allendale Saddle River Rotary, thank you to the sponsors, donors and guests of our 10th Annual Fundraising Dinner! All proceeds support charities and scholarships in our local community and worldwide. We are so appreciative of your support!
We were thrilled to welcome Eleni Theodorou - bullying prevention Educator, children’s author and speaker to our meeting last night! Eleni spoke to us about “Noko the Knight,” her self-developed culture of compassion campaign. She is working to spread an important message that’s important for all young children to hear and explore! We look forward to continued work with Eleni in order to spread the message of empowering kids to embrace their emotions effectively.

THANK YOU to our new Diamond Sponsor, HYTORC, and Platinum Sponsor, Autumn Years Living! Less than one month to go until our Mardi Gras Fundraising Dinner

Many thanks to Allendale Saddle River Rotary club member Linda Bernstein for opening up her design store to host us during the 2019 Allendale Chamber of Commerce "Holiday Walk!" We enjoyed spending time with our friends and neighbors. Kudos to the Allendale Chamber on another fantastic event!
The Allendale/Saddle River Rotary Club participating in the "All Wrapped Up" program for the Bergen Volunteer Center. Our club was so happy to shop and wrap gifts for local families in need.

We also welcomed RYLA committee member Sonia Roman who provided us with more insight about the importance and mission of the annual camp. Thank you Mitchell and Sonia for joining us and we are so happy to have had the opportunity to support RYLA this year.

Wonderful presentation from Bob Klingen on the Gift of Life Foundation and the impact the GOL has not only on the children saved but their families. Thank you, Bergen Highlands Rotary for partnering with the Allendale Saddle River Rotary to sponsor a child to receive a life saving operation.

Through the generosity of many, in addition to our fundraising dinners each year, we continue to help children with life savings surgeries. Thank you to our generous communities for their continued support.
This morning, we were pleased to present a check to United Way for veteran housing in Allendale!
First, our thoughts and prayers are with the Kunisch family. Second, we heard from a wonderful presenter today, Kim Mount from Community Meals A.K.A. Meals on Wheels. We had no idea of all they do for the people of our community who need meals, but can't take care of it themselves.
Amazing morning hearing about little Jasmine's journey as a Gift of Life child. What a blessing! Grateful also for the Klingen family who hosted Jasmine and her mom during her pre- and post-operation. This is why we do what we do as Rotarians! Service above self!

Why are we excited for these pictures?!?! Because Sabina Sullivan was awarded the Walter D. Head Scholarship and our club was her sponsor! Pretty proud moment! Congrats Sabina!

We love to have fun! Congrats to our outgoing board. Thanks for your hard work this year. Let's keep the ball rolling! Also, many thanks especially to June Stahl, our immediate past president, for all of her work this year, highlighting her work on our wine! You rock!

Congrats to our 2016 Scholarship Winners! Great to see these young students excel, not only in their academics, but in serving their local community! Keep up the good work!

Thanks to Kerin Briscese, owner of Haute Fitness Health, for joining us on Wednesday and challenging us to start with attainable and sustainable goals to getting fit!
Here are some other great presenters we've had over the past month.  Below is Rob Parker, Lead Pastor of The Plant Church in Mahwah, sharing about Life Planning and giving us a tool with going after the life we desire.  We also had James Cole share with us about his efforts, along with other Rotarians, to get the Malawi Orthopedic Program off the ground that now trains and deploys orthopedic clinical officers since 1985 in rural district hospitals.
We thank Loren Gelberg-Off, CEO and Founder of Well Within, for her words of wisdom on dealing with the everyday stresses we face!  Great presentation!
Great to have Dr. Jyoti Mathews, board certified family physician and owner of Eden Medical, again with us!  She did a great job clearing up misconceptions in health that we all share.
Great, inspirational morning hearing from Bruce Moehler of Eversight New Jersey and all they're doing to make vision a reality to people. Wonderful stories of those finding hope through others donations.
It was a smaller morning with many of our members dealing with family circumstances--our thoughts and prayers are with you all! It was still an impactful morning hearing from former NY Jet, Bruce Harper of Heroes and Cool Kids! Thank you Bruce!
Great to have fellow Rotarian, Dan Shiver, with us this morning and hear about how his idea of giving at risk students, who are in the criminal justice system, exposure to career opportunities, has become a reality.  Thanks Dan!
Wonderful presentation today by Sarah Melone, co-founder of MarbleJam Kids!  Amazing to hear how they mold and bend to what the child needs instead of pushing for the child to change--great to have Sarah today!
Congrats to our club! (we can take pride in our work, right?) Received this award from the District for 100% participation from our members in giving to the Rotary Foundation where 100% is used for good all around the world!  Great job everyone!
