President's Message

Good day Rotarians, members of the greatest Rotary club in the area that meets on Tuesdays at Arrowhead Country Club, it’s your long lost President! I’ve been asked by a few of you where the Orange Peel was, and those people passed the test! You see, it was a social experiment to see who in our club paid attention to the small details! Seriously though, I’ve been crazy busy at work, literally going 7 days a week lately, so it is my fault there hasn’t been an Orange Peel the last 2 weeks. But hey, if the worst I do this year is to omit a newsletter or 2, we should live.

So we’ve had the anti-auto theft task force with reps from CHP and the Sheriffs’ Dept come speak to us, and then last week we had a wonderful candidate’s forum put together by Tim Prince.

We have had numerous people state over the last few weeks that they are interested in joining our club, helping us get to 100 members for our 100th year, and for that, I thank all of you. Please make sure that everyone keeps in contact with those individuals and keep inviting them in!

I’ll see you all when I see you,

Mike

RI President-elect Barry Rassin’s theme for 2018-19, Be the Inspiration, asks Rotarians to inspire change in the world and in each other. “I ask all of you to Be the Inspiration to help Rotary move from reaction to action — to take a hard look at the environmental issues that affect health and welfare around the world and do what we can to help.”

Barry Rassin earned an MBA in health and hospital administration from the University of Florida, and is the first fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives in the Bahamas. He recently retired after 37 years as president of Doctors Hospital Health System and continues as an adviser. He is a lifetime member of the American Hospital Association and has served on several boards, including the Quality Council of the Bahamas, Health Education Council, and Employer’s Confederation.
