Last Week: We had an excellent presentation by the president of Valley College last week. For those that came, you heard how vital the college is not only as a cornerstone for the future resurgence of our community, but the fine work they are doing now in helping all students who attend the school.
Well done!
THIS IS THE FINAL EDITION OF THE ORANGE PEAL BY CHRIS TICKELL. PERIOD. YEP FOLKS, THAT’S IT!
This Week: Dan Flores, Chief of Staff for County Supervisor Josie Gonzales, will be speaking. I have been told it will be an excellent presentation and I look forward to hearing it.
RI President Ian H.S. Riseley chose Rotary: Making A Difference as his theme for 2017-18. There are as many reasons to come to Rotary as there are Rotarians – maybe even a few more. But each of us has stayed in Rotary because it adds something to our own lives. Through Rotary, we are Making a Difference in the world; and the more involved we become, the more of a difference Rotary makes to each of us. Rotary challenges us to become better people: to become ambitious in the ways that matter, to strive for higher goals, and to incorporate Service Above Self into our daily lives. ”
DISTRICT 5330 GOVERNOR
Manzoor Massey
My heartfelt gratitude to my District 5330 Rotary family for its trust in me to serve as its Governor! It is an honor and a privilege to serve. With your help, we will build on the good work in progress and take our District to the next level.
With great humility and gratitude I enter my year to serve my Rotary family to the best of my ability. Keep me in your prayers and thank you for your continued service to humanity.
We are Dream Builders born to make a difference. Here is a thought to start each day: "I will not let anyone leave my presence unless they feel better than when they came to see me."
