The meeting on May 31st, 2013, was a heart warming one, we fared goodbye to our very own, Rtn Vincent Payne, who is shortly moving to Kampala. Watch our page for a tribute in the near future. Our guest speaker was a humble and passionate lady, Ms. Kaye Wagner, a donor and friend of Rotary. Through Access, a Canadian company that helps fund university students in East Africa. She said: "Rotary has impacted my life greatly, through Access I was able to sponsor a graduate in Nairobi and over the years developed a magnetic relationship."

Access: Africa American Canadian association society, utilizes churches in the communities and develops them into schools during the week. This way they are able to teach children that had never been near a school. She expressed "The thrilling part is the parents in the community got involved making porridge. Men offered property to make their own schools. Government official to take responsibility of the school and make it sustainable." Kaye also shared photos of a recent opening of Emasera community school.

Stories like Kaye's remind us of the power of Rotary and the impact it has worldwide.
