Saturday morning 14 of us gathered at the East Bremerton Rotary Shelter for a tour and history discussion of the Illahee Preserve lead by Vic Ulsh and Jon Buesch. The tour included an identification of the major trees, bushes, mushrooms and birds found in the forest. We found 4 different varieties of edible berries along the trails. The next trail work party is scheduled for September 27 for a final application of bark to the trails in preparation for winter.
