Surprise Honor of newest Paul Harris Award recipients |
Meeting at Rotary Riverside ParkVery nice day to have our first socially distanced live meeting at Rotary Riverside Park rather than on Zoom. John Elmore was recognized as outgoing President of two years. He was presented with The Little Engine That Could signed by all in the club to remember the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Project launched in his tenure. John championed this project from an idea to reality bringing together all three Rotary Clubs. Arnie Guenther was recognized as Rotarian of the Year for stepping up and helping in a big way to get this project off the ground and Greg Schmitt received his fifth Paul Harris Fellow award for his ongoing support of The Rotary Foundation. We are planning to meet at the Park again in two weeks under the leadership of Erika Palkovitz! |

Next Zoom Meeting May 12 at Noon![]() |
April NewsLast week was the first ever Zoom Meeting for Centralia Rotary. Everyone should have received an email with the link to join the meeting. If you are unable to join with your computer or smart device, you can call in to the number in the email and still hear everyone in the meeting. We have had to cancel the two big fundraisers (golf tournament and Tri-Club Auction) that were to support the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. United Way is still going forward with Chef's Night In with an on-line format beginning Saturday May 2 at 6:00 p.m. and closing on Tuesday May 5 at 5:00 p.m. They are stilling planning a "raise the paddle" to support the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. The dinner deliveries are sold out but you can still obtain tickets on the United Way of Lewis County website for $25 each for the no dinner option. Centralia Rotary's 100 year anniversary is this week. Keep your eye open because even though we had to cancel our celebration, the Chronicle will be sharing some news about Centralia Rotary's last 100 years. Stay healthy and stay safe! |

Did You Get the Buzz??The spelling bee held on February 3, 2012 was a great success!! 10 teams and difficult spelling words made for an evening of fun and frustration. Once again, it was a battle to the end. Just when you thought the College Foundation was unstoppable, the Nerds(ringers) from Chehalis Rotary took the prize. All of the teams did a great job and the spelling is improving each and every year!
