Youth Programs
Rotary believes in developing the next generation of leaders and has a strong history of supporting youth development and leadership. Our club supports this goal and provides a range of opportunities for young people to get involved in the work of Rotary in the community as well as to gain new skills and knowledge. The programs that our club supports are suitable for youth and young people in a range of age groups.
Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN)
suitable for 14-16 year olds
Rotary Youth Transition Seminar (RYTS)
suitable for 16-18 year olds
Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA)
suitable for 19-28 year olds
suitable for 19-28 year olds
In addition to the above, we also support students in Year 12 (apply whilst in Year 11 for following year) who are interested in a career in science to attend the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) held annually in Canberra and Brisbane.

FACT: In 2018/19, our club provided sponsorship totaling $5,945 for young people to attend Rotary youth programs.
Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN)

Rotary Youth Transition Seminar (RYTS)
RYTS is a 7 day residential camp for young people aged 16 - 18 years. The camp is aimed at developing leadership and life skills as students transition into adulthood and life after school.

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA)
RYLA is a Leadership development program for youth aged between 19 - 28 designed to promote personal and professional development via a range of inspiring and challenging activities.

National Youth Science Forum (NYSF)
NYSF is an intensive program of information and discussions on relevant and modern scientific practices for students in Year 12 in 2020 and thinking about a career in science.
