We are People of Action.

The Rotary Club of Hope Island is a thriving collection of over 50 active and honorary members, bringing together local business owners, professionals, and community leaders dedicated to fellowship and impact.

Our club was proudly chartered on February 26, 2003, under the visionary leadership of Past District Governor Ian Yarker. This milestone marked the beginning of an extraordinary journey—building a strong local presence that connects our members to Rotary’s global network of 1.2 million change-makers.

We bridge the gap between local resources and urgent needs, blending professional networking and leadership development with hands-on service.

Today, we support a wide range of initiatives, projects, and causes with reach across our local Gold Coast community and internationally. Some of the causes we proudly support include:

Our Core Initiatives & Impact

We support a wide range of initiatives with reach across our local Gold Coast community and internationally. Key causes we proudly champion include:

  • Local Youth & Education: Partnering with Kids 4 Kids Foundation to supply resources to disadvantaged children, and supporting Zephyr Education to assist young victims of domestic violence.

  • Medical Research: Hosting our signature annual Black Tie Dinner, which directly funds a vital Queensland University PhD scholarship dedicated to Parkinson’s Disease research. Funds raised in 2025 ~$80,000.

  • International Aid: Currently supporting the Bali Sehat clinic with the goal to provide them with a new ambulance! The club also supports Malaria Vaccine Project and partnering with Disaster Aid Australia to deploy SkyHydrants™ providing clean drinking water to disaster-struck regions globally.

  • Community Heritage & Mobility: Establishing the Armistice Memorial at the entrance of Sanctuary Cove, and enhancing community mobility through initiatives like Cycling without Age and Sailability

(Fact: Our club is a proud and significant contributor to the community, having previously raised and distributed over $100,000 to these vital causes in a single year alone.)
