The Rotary Club of Victoria will be collaborating with the Rotary Club of Kakamega to provide clean water to a nursing college in Western Kenya.

The college serves 400 students who currently are frequently obliged to walk about 2 kilometres to the river to carry back water. The project will supply a new water pump for the well and repair guttering and tanks for water harvesting.

For more information on this project contact World Community Services. The Kakamega Rotary Club is active in the community and recently planted over 300 trees at a nearby educational institution,

December update: The club President has just purchased an electric submersible pump and will also provide iron sheets, gutters and fittings, nails and labour.
