As CEO, Michael directs the long-term vision of VHP, and oversees VHP's talented team of designers and developers. He has been named an Ultimaker Innovator (2020) and presented at Autodesk University (2021).


Michael began working with the Victoria Hand Project in 2014 while completing his degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Victoria. During one of his two internships with VHP, Michael expanded VHP's operations to Nepal. After graduating, Michael began working full-time with VHP as a Biomedical System Designer. Michael then served as Chief Operating Officer from 2017 - 2020, establishing four new international clinics, before being appointed as CEO in late 2021. His experience spans a wide range of areas including engineering, operations, intellectual property, business strategy, fundraising, and biological systems.
