Classification Talk - Rhona Deah
Rhona is the newest Rotarian of the Biddeford-Saco Club. Please help Rhona feel welcomed by reaching out to her directly. (Rhonabeauty1@gmail.com)

After attending her first Rotary meeting, Rhona was inspired by the people in the room and knew she wanted to be a part of what we were doing. She completed the Rotary application at the end of the meeting.

Sponsored by Melissa Cilley.  Rhona operates her business on Maine Street: Rhona Beauty, LLC. Rhona is the reigning Mrs. USOA York County and is competing in the Mrs. United States of America Maine pageant this weekend. We wish her the very best!

Welcome Rhona!
EARL A. GOODWIN KINDNESS in the COMMUNITY DAY

Fellow Rotarians, on December 7th, rather than the regular meeting agenda, we will report to the meeting at Run of the Mill, pick up a grab-and-go luncheon, and select a Kindness envelope. Inside will be a kindness task you and fellow Rotarians must complete in the next hour.

The fund now has grown to $9,400 and counting!!! A portion of this money will be used for the first Earl A. Goodwin KINDNESS in the COMMUNITY DAY. Ideas for KINDNESS TASKS are requested by all. Please email your suggestions to bsrotarypresident@gmail.com. Anyone interested in assisting with the planning of this day are asked to contact Brenda.
Email your kindness ideas today!
As we consider Kindness Tasks that can be  accomplished in 1&1/2 hours, may we focus on    seniors, veterans, & children.

ROTACT LEADER: Michael Burman
NEWS BRIEFS:
  • A corporate membership initiative will be presented to the board for discussion at the November meeting. Membership growth is the engine that powers the vehicle of Rotary. Growth of our members is important because new ideas and new interests reinvigorate the club – bringing in new energy and future leaders. The asset of each Rotary Club is its members. In order to maximize the impact of our Club, focusing on membership growth is key. Stay tuned for updates.
  • Laptop computers have been purchased for our Club. One for the current president, who will upload and maintain Rotary files, databases, and other relevant club documents. This 'president's laptop' will be passed on to the incoming president making transitioning into this role a seamless transition. The second, is a scaled down model of the president's laptop, intended to only be used to operate the Zoom meeting events. It is a cost effective way to ensure the Zoom meetings are consistently offering a positive experience for those who choose to attend virtually.
  • Rotary Open World Hosting - Our Club applied to participate in the upcoming Open World exchange program, an international program sponsored by the U.S. Congress with collaborative support from Rotary. Throughout the years, numerous Rotary clubs and districts have been active participants through hosting emerging leaders of Eurasia. Host clubs cited the impact of the program experience and ways it created international understanding in their clubs and communities, forged connections between counterparts, and started new friendships. Clubs will be notified in November if selected to participate.
