Club Meeting June 11, 2019
Opening and Welcome:  President Dick Kisiel opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and the recitation of the Rotary Four-Way Test.  Scott Seabury provided the invocation and led the club singing of “God Bless America”.
Members Present: Dale Baker, Joe Blake, Ginny Bromage, Gayle Demko, Jed Dery, Greg DeSantis, Frank DiGennaro, Natalie Donais, Gail Handley, Greg Heineman, Heidi Huhn-Partain, Richard Kisiel, Jon Kozloski, Bob Lowell, Don Miner, Jack Muska, Paul Muska, Renae Ransdell, Scott Seabury, Gordon Stagg, Tom Sullivan, and Nancy Viggiano..  (23/32….72%).
Guests: None.
Scholarships were awarded to 10 recipients @ $1000 ea.  Dick held a meeting at his home last week to generate the list for the awards.
We received thank you’s for the Rotary donations to the Bixler event and Doyon event.  We also received a thank you from Olivia Murphy who was a scholarship recipient.
Greg Heineman reported the Yardgoats social was a great success with the home team beating the number one seed!  Thanks Greg for arranging the tickets for this social!
Scott’s movie debut in Agawam drew 1100 attendees who viewed an inspirational film with a storyline of gratitude and hopefulness.  Congratulations for the encouragement and joyful motivation you bring with this film; you make us proud!
Dick encourages all members to attend the Paul Harris dinner next week and is compiling the list of attendees and their dinner selections.  The cost is $35 per person for this June 25th event.
Foundation donation:  Jay will be collecting donations next Tuesday at the meeting.  This donation funds projects for Rotary International and ultimately the 'pot' which provides grant money for international projects and individual club projects.
Dick inducted Ginny Bromage and Renae Ransdell into the organization and the ladies introduced themselves to the attendance.  We are very happy to have you both onboard and look forward to working with you!
Blue Ticket Winners: Blue ticket winner was Greg Heineman with sides won by Gayle and Renae.
Queen of Hearts:  Gayle had the winning ticket and did not pull the Queen of Hearts.  Total winning pot now stands at $522.
Birthdays and Anniversaries: No birthdays were celebrated this evening.
Adjournment: Scott closed the meeting with a group singing of “My Country Tis of Thee”.
