Program: Members Gayle Demko and Charles Roumas shared their key takeaways from their Rotary Leadership Institute training on Sat Nov 12 in Chicopee. Their training curriculum included sessions in Insights Into Leadership, Ethics in Vocational Service, Details on the “Rotary World” org structure and the Rotary Foundation, How to Engage Members, and Creating Service Projects. Rotary International actually has its own seat at the United Nations because of its global projects, and present Saturday were many first generation Americans now becoming new local Rotary leaders from Ukraine, Poland, Holland, Azerbaijan, and India. Gayle was especially excited about the tremendous potential Suffield Rotary has to partner with other local clubs in the District or elsewhere on service projects we would not normally have the resources to tackle on our own. We are only limited by our own initiative and enthusiasm. Both were grateful and energized by the training opportunity.

Birthdays and Anniversaries:  None.

Blue Ticket Winners:  Jed Dery had the winning blue ticket, with sides won by Scott Seabury and Ken Pascoe.

Queen of Hearts:  Ken Pascoe had the winning ticket, but did not select the Queen of Hearts. Next week’s drawing $56+

Adjournment: Jackie Guzie adjourned the meeting and Scott Seabury led “My Country ‘Tis of Thee” as the closing song.
